Groups and Frames

Groups, visual frames, and Polyphony Zones are disabled for beta authoring. They remain in the patch model for compatibility with existing internal patches, but customer beta builds should use flat patch layouts.

Organising Beta Patches

Use these approaches while groups and frames are disabled:

• place related nodes near each other,
• use clear node labels where available,
• keep patch sections small enough to scan,
• use Tidy Graph to clean up layout when routing becomes hard to follow.

Disabled Structures

• Node Groups and built-in instrument/effect group templates are not shown in the beta node browser.
• Frames are not offered as a beta authoring tool.
• Polyphony Zones are not offered as a beta authoring tool.
• Reusable user node templates are disabled during the beta.

Compatibility

The schemas, migrations, and internal runtime paths for these structures are preserved so older and internal patches can still load. Descope means blocking new authoring in customer builds, not deleting patch compatibility.
