Installation

Throughline beta is available as Audio Unit on macOS and as VST3 on macOS and Windows.

System Requirements

• macOS 13 or later for AU and VST3 on macOS
• Windows 10 64-bit or later for VST3
• A host DAW with AU support on macOS or VST3 support on macOS or Windows

macOS Audio Unit

Run the .pkg installer and follow the prompts. The plugin is installed in ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/ for user installs or /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/ for system installs.

Most DAWs rescan Audio Units on launch. If the plugin does not appear, reopen the DAW and rescan plugins.

macOS and Windows VST3

Run the installer and accept the default path. VST3 plugins install to:

• macOS: ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/ or /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/
• Windows: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\

After install, rescan plugins in your DAW if needed.

Plugin Variants

Throughline ships as three plugin variants:

• Throughline: synth instrument
• Throughline FX: audio effect
• Throughline MIDI: MIDI processor

Use the variant that matches the track type and routing you need.
