6.5.1. Patch and project storage

A .tlpatch file holds one exported patch. The DAW project stores the patch state of each plugin instance on its own. Loading a file gives you an editable copy. It keeps no live link to that file. The steps are in Save, load and reuse.

6.5.2. Local storage

The Patch Library is in ~/Library/Strangelight Audio/Throughline/Presets/. It has one folder each for fx, midi and synth. Local Library templates are in ~/Library/Strangelight Audio/Throughline/NodeTemplates/<variant>/templates.json. In that path, <variant> is fx, midi or synth. Each entry you place is a copy of the stored Group.

Editor settings are in ~/Library/Strangelight Audio/Throughline/Presets/ui-preferences.json. Uninstall and reset covers backups and how to reset these files.

Caveat: if you move Local Library files, the patches that DAW projects hold do not change.
