6.1. Node pages: how to read them
The node catalogue is a separate, unnumbered tree. Choose a category, then a node.
Each page opens with a short description. On the website, the reference has three tabs:
- Controls describes the dials, sliders, toggles and choosers, with what each one does to the sound and what each option means. Shared sync controls link to Sync to tempo.
- I/O lists the remaining inputs and all outputs. Controls already covers each input that matches a control.
- Details covers how the node behaves in use, its limits, its stereo handling and related guides.
The in-app reference shows the same facts under Parameters, Inputs, Outputs and guidance headings.
Check signal kind, unit and range together. Matching socket shapes alone does not show what the numbers on a cable mean. See Signal kinds and units.
